Good questions
A few things to know.
Does it automatically know every store’s return policy?
No. It reads policy wording printed on a receipt. If there isn’t a clear deadline or return window, you enter or confirm it. Always check the retailer’s conditions.
Can I use it without AI scanning?
Yes. Subscribers can enter purchase details manually. AI scanning is optional and requires permission before your receipt is sent for processing.
Are receipt photos backed up?
No. Photos are stored locally, excluded from backups and don’t sync between devices. They may be lost if the app is deleted or the phone is lost.
What stays after a return?
Purchase details stay in your history. Once all items on a receipt are returned, the photo expires seven days after the latest return. A kept item preserves the shared receipt until you remove it.
